This pattern of hook is an outright snag fishing hook that will never open out even under the most extreme pressure. Unlike the Nailer range this hook has a straight shank, no down eye but has a wider gape. If this hook is extended with a fine shrink tube to form the shape of a Longshank Nailer it can vastly increase its hooking ability with no possibility of the hook opening out or snapping.
